Dr. Bakhtiyar Aliyev is the founder and head of Smile by Dr. Bakhtiyar and an implantologist. His work focuses on dental implants, oral surgery and digital dentistry.
He personally performs implant placement, sinus lifts and bone grafting. Every surgery is planned on the computer beforehand using 3D CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography). The clinic works with NeoBiotech, MegaGen AnyRidge and Straumann BLT implant systems; the suitable option is explained individually after examination and 3D diagnostics.
For veneers and smile aesthetics he builds the digital smile design himself: the patient sees the future result on screen before treatment starts. Prosthodontics, including implant-supported restorations, is also part of his practice.
He works by the principle of team-based referral practice: at every stage the patient is directed to the right specialist while the treating doctor coordinates the process. He is the author of most patient-education articles on this site.
